Fairies and Folklore

I've always been extremely inspired by fairies and folklore. The creations below are not based on any particular story and are just manifestations of ideas in my head. I am trying to test the limits of my imagination and immerse myself in magic and folklore alongside nature in my work.

Growth, Cycles and Change

I am interested in the synergism between personal growth, wellbeing, and nature's cycles. Seasonal, ecological and celestial changes in nature harmonise with and explain changes in the human experience. Nature reminds us that experiences are ephemeral and ever-changing, and cycles of birth/growth/decay/death are reflected throughout our experiences. I am also interested in grounding ourselves in nature, and rekindling our evolutionary roots in the natural world to benefit planetary, societal and individual wellbeing. The Stolen Child

A handmade book inspired by the poem 'The Stolen Child' by W.B Yeats (and the Waterboys' song version!).
Festive
Faeries celebrating the winter solstice, in watercolour, acrylics and polychromos pencil.
Nature

I am passionate about deepening our connection to and appreciation of nature, and feel this can be communicated through art. I try to use bold colours and patterns to protray the energy, magic and beauty of nature and our interaction with it.
