Sketches exploring ideas for a piece inspired by a passage in Robert Macfarlane's The Wild Places. The passage is a beautifully written account of a father and son sailing the Gulf of Mexico in 2004. After capsizing in a storm, their boat became surrounded by swirls of phospheresence, and an inner ring of dolhpins protected them from an outer ring of sharks.
